and another sweater

This past weekend involved a lot of finishing. That doesn’t happen often. In addition to the quilt, I also finished this sweater:

Please excuse the expression on my face. Mat took 3 pictures and didn’t think to tell me that I was making a strange face. Focus on the sweater, folks.

This is Carol Feller’s Parcel from Twist Collective, knit in Miss Babs Northumbria DK (Blue Face Leicester) in colour Ruby Spinel. I bought the yarn at Rhinebeck in October. And with this finished, that’s all 3 sweaters worth that I bought then knit up!

I had some issues with the sleeves on this and it turns out that the largest 3 sizes are designed to accommodate chunkier arms. Wish I’d known that in the beginning. It takes very careful reading of the measurements to spot.

Also, I took the advice in the pattern and knit a size that would give me more ease and, although I like the sweater, I think I could have knit the next smaller size. Live and learn.
