Fibre blogs I read

The sidebar was starting to look a bit crowded so I thought I’d put my blogrolls on pages, instead. This one is the other blogs about knitting, spinning and the like. If I was more tech-savvy, I’d have a little red maple leaf to indicate all the Canadians like the do on the spines of books at the library. But I’ve just written it in, instead.

Asia Adventure: My pal J, who lives nearby, Canadian

And She Knits, Too: Dr. Steph, another knitting feminist sociologist (we are a bigger group than you think), Canadian

Blogsam & Jetsam: Sam Duck, she’s actually a “real” doctor.

Cabezalana: and so’s Mel, of the veterinary sort.

Crafty Cocktail: Em, too, who was once my neighbour… (I seem to know a lot of medics. Hmmm.)

Enchanting Juno: Not Juno, though, but she’s very interesting, whether talking about knitting or life.

Feral Knitter: inspiring blog about stranded colourwork.

Knitterguy: Beautiful lace, inspiring spinning. Canadian

Mamacate: Knitting, Feminist, almost a sociologist.. if she moved to Canada, she’d be almost perfect. :-)

Mostly Knitting: Sara has lots of great technical information on the pages of this blog, too. Great resource.

QueerJoe’s Knitting Blog: Great knitting. Good politics. Cute cat.

Sara Skates: She knits and spins, too. And has kids.

The Fish Knits: Another local blogger. Canadian.

The Girl from Auntie: Jenna’s a lawyer, specializes in intellectual property. And knits amazing things. Any questions you have about knitting and copyright are probably answered somewhere in her archives. She also just knits amazing things.

The Panopticon: great knitting, great writing, great cartoons…

Too Much Wool: beautiful knitting (including lace) and spinning, with a bit of quilting thrown in to liven things up

Witty Knitter: part of that knitting, feminist, sociologist crowd

Yarmando: knits a lot of socks but beautiful ones; librarian so good book recommendations in his side-bar

The Yarn Harlot: the reason that Dr. Steph needs the “Dr.” (the number of knitting Stephs in Toronto is a bit high); great knitting, great writing. Canadian
